As a passenger on the recent Great Britain III Railtour from 6th to 14th April, I would like to pass on my compliments for
the food and service provided by Gravy Train Catering throughout the Tour. The service was always polite & friendly,
and I can offer nothing but praise for the quality and variation of food served, particularly when taking into account the
size of the kitchen that is used. The serving staff were very patient, as with a Tour of this length, many of the passengers
are moving around the carriages at times making it somewhat an obstacle course for your Staff. Well done to all at Gravy Train.

Just wanted to let you know how impressed we were with the food and staff on this trip last Saturday. The food was excellent, well presented and plenty of it! The waiting staff were outstanding, extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I have just returned from taking the “Fellsman Train” to Carlisle. We were lucky enough to be travelling in Premier Dining. I would just like to compliment your staff on their great service. Although our train broke down and we did not reach Lowestoft and there were some very disgruntled passengers they smiled through it all. And they handled the very miserable lady opposite, who complained about everything and sent back her food at every meal with great calm. They were amazing. The food was superb (I don’t know how the chef does it) and we are looking forward to travelling with you again

We again had great service from the staff on board when we travelled to Stirling at the weekend.
We’re both veggie and your chefs always seem to surprise us with a fresh menu on each trip. The food is always fresh and tasty, served beautifully and the staff friendly.
We’re off to London on October 16 with PMR and look forward to dining with you again.

Just a note to thank you all so much for the fabulous weekend we had on the West Highland & Jacobite Statesman last weekend, 8th-10th October. What a memorable way to celebrate my 50th birthday, everything was perfect, the journey, the scenery, the staff, the weather, the hotel and the wonderful food we ate. We were so well looked after the whole time and could happily do it every weekend though I don't think our waistlines could! We look forward to hopefully seeing you all again on another trip.

Over the weekend just passed, my partner, her parents and I were on board the Statesman Rail trip to Fort William.
My partner, Nic, has to have a very strict Gluten Free diet and I would just like to say a big "Thank You" to all of your team for going out of their way to accommodate her.
We really enjoyed the experience but the icing on the cake was the tremendous attitude of all your team, the quality of the food and the attention to detail all through the trip.
Once again, a big "Thank You", we cannot wait for the next time.

My friends and I have been on several excursions with Statesmanrail and have always enjoyed them. Yesterday was the first time we had tried the Pullman Dining experience. I must congratulate you on a truly wonderful day. The food was delicious and well cooked, the service was exceptional and the little touches like complimentary chocolates rounded off a memorable day. It was worth every penny of the price paid. Congratulations and sincere thanks to all concerned.

Yesterday my husband and I travelled to Llandudno on your Victorian Statesman. We had a most enjoyable time made even better by the staff on the train. They were all pleasant and helpful, clean and tidily dressed. The food was delicious and the seating comfortable. The train was on time and clean, I would happily take this trip again, we are looking into taking another trip later in the year - this one was only a taster to try it out.

Dear Wonderful Gravytrainers,
Cliff drew the short straw on the PMR Scarborough run on 21 May when he had to force himself out of his comfy bed at some unearthly hour to rustle up wonderful food for 400 folk in a kitchen the size of an average shower room!
Not only did he and his amazingly patient team produce tasty, plentiful and always HOT dishes to we grateful diners, he demonstrated skill, flair and exceptional cooking ability with the balance, colour and quantity of his dishes. The tenderness of the meat, the freshness of the vegetables and the expertise of the waiting staff were all five star class.
The down side of this was that he was accosted on Derby platform and given a bear hug - nay, even a peck on the cheek - by a lady who was old enough to know better, but who had appreciated the wonderful food and attention of the team. Fortunately, her husband has been married to her long enough to love her anyway!!

We travelled premier class on the above trip and had a fabulous time. Thank you so much to the staff who were outstanding, extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. This is our 3rd trip in premier class and the food was superb again. We anticipate breakfast and dinner for months before the trip as the quality and quantity of the food is so good. Once again we were not disappointed, what a feat to produce such quality food in such a small space.
We are looking forward to our next trip.

My wife and I were on the Great Britain IV trip and had a fantastic time, thanks in large to the efforts of you and your staff.
I came to realise that the amount of our tip was quite inadequate and want to make things right as I know we won’t be back anytime soon. Also didn’t want to be remembered as those “dammed cheap Canadians”!
Please distribute as you see fit or throw it in the pot on next year’s trip.

My friend and I travelled on The Dorset Coast Express on August 16th from Victoria to Weymouth in Premier Class, I would like to thank your staff for the magnificent service they provided, the food was excellent the quality you would expect to receive in a 5 star hotel, we have never seen a team of people work so hard and efficiently.
Your staff were courteous from the time we started our journey until we returned to Waterloo, it made it a wonderful trip and we will certainly look forward to many trips where your company are the caterers.

On Monday 22 August 2011, my wife took me on a mystery trip as a "big-0" birthday present.
We travelled Premier Class in coach C.
I had no idea where we were heading until we reached Preston, which led me to speculate that the Settle - Carlisle line was the likely route!!
However, the team who attended to our culinary needs went into overdrive, as soon as we left Preston, with an efficient, extremely pleasant presentation of deliciously prepared and presented fayre.
Tasty Manx kippers and as much coffee as one could drink; delightfully warm Danish pastries with more coffee before arriving in Carlisle. The return journey was no sooner under way, when a delightfully balanced main course of roast lamb was presented to table. An absolute joy to the palate.
But the piece-de-resistance had to be the cheese cake!! Your pastry cooks deserve to be reported to the local police - for supply of addictive substances. Wow!!
Please pass on our thanks to all of the team, who "worked their socks off" in rather warm conditions, but who were smiling throughout the day. Thank them very much indeed. They were so much part of a very special day out.

I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed the food supplied by your company on our trip yesterday. The food menu choice was excellent !
I cannot fault anything at all about the food, it was the most enjoyable part of the trip and certainly made it a special day. Not only was the food excellent the service too was excellent, your staff made us feel very special and nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was piping hot and served at a very fast speed.
